Spiced Garlic Prawns

Nothing says summer holidays like the taste of garlic and prawns. You can serve these sauteed prawns with pasta, roasted vegetables, salad or enjoy them the spanish way as part of a delicious tapas spread. This quick recipe is a winner!

Serves: 2

Prep: 5 min  Cook: 5 min Total: 10 min

Ingredients:

About 20 raw prawns, peeled

2 garlic cloves, chopped

Juice of 1 lemon

Spring onions, diced

Parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon of chilli flakes

Sea salt and pepper

Extra virgin olive oil or rapeseed oil

Technique:

1- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan. Season the prawns with salt and pepper and set aside.

2- Cook the garlic over medium-low heat for a couple of minutes or until it just starts to colour.

3- Increase the heat to high and add the prawns and chilli. Stir quickly and make sure all the prawns are cooking. Cook for a couple of min then pour the lemon juice into your pan and cook the prawns about 1 more min.

4- Sprinkle over the spring onions and parsley. Stir quickly and serve.
