APPLE CRUMBLE

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 8 small to medium apples 

  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla paste

  • 100g plain flour

  • 110g butter

  • 60g coconut sugar (or any sugar you have on hands)

  • 40g ground almond

  • A pinch of sea salt

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C

1- Core the apples, then quarter and chop into 2cm chunks.

In a bowl mix the chopped apple with cinnamon and vanilla. Transfer the apples  into a

baking dish. 

2- Cube the butter and place in another mixing bowl with the flour, sugar, ground almond and sea salt. Rub together with your fingertips until it resembles big breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over the apples.

3- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.

Delicious served with natural yoghurt, custard or ice cream.
