BREAKFAST APPLE & WALNUT PORRIDGE

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 apple, chopped 

1 tsp vanilla paste 

A splash of water

½ cup oats

¼ cup milk of choice

⅓ cup water

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp raisins

5 walnuts halves

A drizzle of honey or maple syrup

½ apple, sliced 


Method:

Place a small saucepan over a medium heat. Add the chopped apple, vanilla and water. Cover with a lid and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until tender. Use a fork to crush the apple chunks into a compote, then add the oats, milk, water, cinnamon and raisins. Cook to your liking then serve with apple slices, crunchy walnuts and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup for extra goodness. Enjoy!
